Raddy UV7 Professional Weather Station
A 12-in-1 wireless station with a 5.12-inch VA display, a solar-assisted 7-in-1 outdoor sensor and 300 ft transmission range.
Is the Raddy UV7 worth buying?
For a home or garden, it is a fair buy at $84.99. You get wind, rain, UV, light, temperature, humidity and pressure in one system, a readable screen and frost alerts. It does not use Wi-Fi or an app, so there is no cloud logging, and the outdoor sensor needs 3 AA batteries that are not included.
A big screen and a full sensor array
The UV7 reports temperature, humidity, pressure, rainfall, wind speed and direction, forecast, light intensity, UV index, time, date and feels-like temperature. The outdoor sensor transmits on 433 MHz, and three optional remote temperature and humidity sensors can be added.
What makes it stand out
5.12-inch VA with night mode
Wide viewing angles, four brightness levels and an automatic night mode (when on USB-C power) make it comfortable to read in a bedroom or hallway.
Solar-assisted 7-in-1 outdoor unit
Wind speed and direction, rainfall, UV index, light intensity, temperature and humidity from one outdoor unit. Wind range is 0-180 km/h and rainfall is up to 9999 mm.
Wind, rain, temperature and frost
Customisable alerts cover high gusts, heavy daily rain and temperature changes, with automatic frost alerts between -1 and +3 C (30 and 37 F). Useful for garden protection.
Atomic time and DST
RCC atomic clock sync runs overnight and DST adjusts automatically, with dual alarms, moon phase and tide info.
