Bitmain's previous-generation Scrypt miner, now priced well below the newer L9 — a reasonable middle ground for LTC and DOGE mining if you don't need the absolute top hashrate.
For less than half the price of the L9, the L7 still delivers a respectable 9,050 MH/s — it's simply less efficient at 0.36 J/MH versus the newer unit's 0.21 J/GH. If your electricity costs are low or you're prioritizing upfront cost over long-term efficiency, the L7 remains a reasonable way to get into Scrypt mining without spending L9 money. If power costs are high where you mine, the efficiency gap will eat into that savings over time.
Before the L9, the L7 was Bitmain's top Scrypt miner, and it's still a capable unit — just a step behind on efficiency. DCE Miner lists this 9050M variant at $1,420, positioning it as the mid-tier option between the budget Avalon Nano3s and the flagship L9.
9,050 MH/s is a meaningful hashrate for Scrypt mining, even if it trails the L9's 16,000+ MH/s. The L7 has been on the market long enough that its real-world reliability is well documented across the mining community.
This is where the L7 shows its age: 0.36 J/MH against the L9's 0.21 J/GH means you're paying more in electricity per unit of hashrate. Whether that matters depends entirely on your local power rates — run the math before assuming the lower purchase price is the better deal.
Coin support is identical to the newer L9 — Litecoin, Dogecoin and Bellcoin on the Scrypt algorithm — so you're not giving up flexibility, just top-end hashrate and efficiency.
At 370×195.5×290mm and 13.5kg net, the L7 fits the same rack shelving as most Bitmain Antminers. The PSU is included, and it runs on a fairly standard 200-240V/50-60Hz AC input.

The L7 isn't the newest or most efficient Scrypt miner Bitmain makes, but it's a proven unit at a price that's much easier to justify than the L9. Just run your own electricity-cost math before assuming the lower sticker price is automatically the better deal.
