Is the Autel IM508S worth buying?
It is worth it if keys are part of your income and not worth it if they are not. The IM508S is an Android 11 tablet with a 7.0-inch screen that combines key fob programming for brands like Honda, Toyota, Ford and Nissan (2000 to 2025 models), PIN code retrieval, ECU initialization, all-system diagnostics, bi-directional control and 40+ services. It comes with one year of free updates. Two warnings: bundles with the XP400 Pro programmer and G-BOX3 cost much more, and in North America some key functions may require a NASTF SDRM account that the seller says is not included.
Diagnostics plus key programming
The IM508S is the upgrade of the IM508. Variants on the page range from the tool alone at $939 up to $1,639 with the APB112, G-BOX3 and XP400 Pro. The seller states that it has no IP limitation, so you can use it in your country.
